India"s largest cement maker ACC today reported a marginal dip in sales in December at 1.88 million tonnes.

The company had sold 1.9 million tonnes of cement in December 2008, ACC said in a statement.
Cement production of the comapny also declined to 1.86 million tonnes during the last month, compared with 1.91 million tonnes in the year-ago period.
In the calendar year 2009, ACC"s cement sales rose to 21.36 million tonnes from 20.86 million tonnes a year ago. It produced 21.38 million tonnes of cement last year, up from 20.84 million tonnes in 2008.
ACC has 16 cement plants across the country with an installed production capacity of 26 million tonnes.
