FIIs net buy Rs 367cr, DIIs net sell Rs 287cr

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 366.81 crore (provisional) today, according to data released by BSE. - FIIs net sellers Rs 1,658cr in F&O on Wednesday - FIIs up stake in top sugar firms - FIIs net sell Rs 169cr, DIIs net buy Rs 126cr - FIIs net sellers Rs 670cr in F&O on Tuesday - Domestic institutions net buyers of Rs 448 cr - FIIs net buyers Rs 249cr in F&O on Monday While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 4,759.84 crore, gross sales totalled Rs 4,393.03 crore. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs 286.67 crore today. While DIIs made gross purchases of Rs 1,962.92 crore, gross sales totalled Rs 2,249.59 crore. FIIs were net buyers of Rs 139.10 crore on Wednesday, July 29, according to data released by Sebi today. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 2,851.70 crore, gross sales totalled Rs 2,712.60 crore. Mutual funds (MFs) were net sellers of Rs 292.30 crore on Wednesday. MFs made purchases of Rs 869 crore and sales of Rs 1,161.30 crore.

NTPC to launch 4,000 Mw plant work by January
The power situation is expected to see a dramatic change once the Kudagi thermal power plant goes operational. The foundation stone for the thermal plant near Basavana Bagewadi in Bijapur district will be laid in January next. The National Thermal Power Corporation has approved the proposal for setting up the coal-based 4,000 Mw plant at its meeting held in New Delhi on November 27.
