Markets weak in morning trades

The markets opened on a flat note amid mixed global cues. However, bears were soon seen active following yesterday"s weakness. The Sensex drifted to a low of 16,778, down 109 points from the day"s high. The Sensex is now down 72 points at 16,805. The NSE Nifty is down 24 points at 5,009. The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,292 stocks traded so far, 1,369 have declined, and 855 have advanced.

ONGC, partners to invest over Rs 46,000 cr in Iran
Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and its partners will invest over Rs 46,000 crore (about $10 billion , based on current exchange rate) in two giant gas fields and an LNG project in Iran, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Seifollah Jashnsaz said.
