Russian gas exports over 37 per cent down in Jan-July 2009

Crude exports reduced by 0.1 per cent to 130.13 million tonnes and brought in $45.84 billion, as against $96.58 billion last year. Russia enlarged exports of petroleum products by 4.7 per cent to 68.5 million tonnes with the cost of $22.43 billion, as against $45.91 billion the year before.

IOB Q1 netup 18% to Rs 302 cr
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has reported a 17.90 per cent increase in the net profit for quarter ended June 30, 2009 at Rs 301.78 crore as compared to Rs 255.97 crore, during the same quarter a year ago. Bank"s total income rose to Rs 2,808.51 crore from Rs 2,186.83 crore, an increase of 28.43 per cent.
