Sensex rebounds into positive territory

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive terrain and is now at 16,386, up 32 points. - Markets recover from day"s low - Tata Steel down 4% on sharp drop in net - Jet Airways, SpiceJet drop on Q2 net loss - Sensex weak in early trades - Sensex opens 17pts lower - F&O Outlook: Positive surprises are unlikely The NSE Nifty is up at 4,858, up 12 points. ____________________________________________________________ (Updated at 1205hrs) The Sensex is exhibiting lacklustre movement and is now at 16,304, down 49 points. The NSE Nifty is at 4,832, down 13 points. ICICI Bank is the major loser so far, down 3.5% each at Rs 806. Tata Steel and SBI have declined 2.5% each to Rs 488 and Rs 2,148, respectively. Sterlite and Reliance Communications have dropped 2% each at Rs 761 and Rs 203, respectively. HDFC Bank, Maruti, Sun Pharma and Hero Honda are down over 1.5% each. Bharti Airtel is the major gainer, up around 4% at Rs 318 and Tata Motors advanced 3% to Rs 564. Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Industries, Wipro and Mahindra & Mahindra have added over 2% each. The market breadth is fairly negative, out of 2,431 shares traded, 1,541 have advanced and 812 have declined so far on the BSE. The BSE Bankex and the realty index is down around 2% each at 9,492 and 3,977, respectively.
