Tata Motors hits new 52-wk high on Dec sales nos

Tata Motors ended at Rs 827, higher by Rs 34 or 4.3%, on the BSE. The stock had opened at Rs 791 and touched a low of Rs 788 and a high of Rs 828 during the day. The stock opened in the red at Rs 791 but managed to rebound. It surged over 2% from there to touch a new 52-week high of Rs 808. The stock is trading with a gain of 1.8% at Rs 807. Around 2.32 lakh shares have been traded on the BSE so far. The country"s largest auto maker, Tata Motors, reported sales of 51,627 units in December - a jump of 25,219 units over the same month last year. The company"s exports jumped 161% at 3,454 vehicles in December last year compared to 1,325 vehicles in December 2008.
